ARKA Privacy Policy

Application: ARKA ("the Application", "the App")
1. Introduction and Privacy Philosophy
At Tucan Software Studio, we have designed ARKA under the strict principles of Privacy by Design and Local-First Storage. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled, processed, and protected when you use our mobile application ARKA. By using ARKA, you accept the practices described in this document. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Application.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
To ensure your peace of mind and maximize security, we explicitly declare that ARKA does NOT request, collect, store, transmit, or process on our servers the following information: • Names, surnames, or personal identifiers. • Email addresses or phone numbers. • Cloud-based financial information (bank balances, credit card numbers, transaction history). • Geographic location (GPS). • Your device contacts. We do not require the creation of a user account on our servers to use the application.
3. Information Processed Locally (On Your Device)
All information you enter into ARKA remains exclusively in the memory and internal storage of your mobile device. Financial Data and Transactions: The amounts, categories, notes, and metadata of your income and expenses are stored in a local database encrypted by your device's operating system. Apple Pay and Shortcuts Integration: ARKA uses the native tools of the operating system (iOS) to automate transaction recording. The application reads the structured data provided by Apple Shortcuts strictly locally. None of this information is transmitted to Tucan Software Studio or third parties. Biometric Data (Face ID / Touch ID / Android Biometrics): If you enable security lock in ARKA, validation is performed through your device's native authentication APIs. The Application only receives a "Pass" or "Fail" from the operating system. We never have access to your fingerprints or facial data.
4. Third-Party Services
To provide and maintain the Application's PRO functionality, we integrate the following third-party service. This provider operates under its own privacy policy and may collect technical data automatically: RevenueCat (Subscription and Payment Management): To process in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play, we use RevenueCat. This service collects an anonymous App User ID, your purchase history within ARKA, and your subscription status. This data is used exclusively to unlock PRO features and is not linked to your personal identity. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at www.revenuecat.com/privacy. At this time, ARKA does not integrate any analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry tools. No usage data, diagnostic data, or behavioral data is collected or transmitted.
5. Backups and Data Export
ARKA offers functionality to export your data in a backup file. User Control: This action must be manually initiated by the user. Disclaimer: Once the export file is generated and saved outside the Application (for example, in iCloud Drive, Google Drive, sent via email, or messaging applications), the security and privacy of that file are the sole responsibility of the user. Tucan Software Studio has no control over exported files.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not store your data on external servers, data retention depends entirely on you. Data Deletion: You can permanently delete all your financial data by uninstalling ARKA from your device or by using the "Delete Data" option within the Application's settings. Please note that if you uninstall the Application without having performed a manual export beforehand, your data will be irretrievably lost.
7. Compliance with Global Regulations (GDPR, CCPA, and others)
Given our Local Storage model, compliance with user rights (such as the right of access, rectification, restriction, and erasure) is exercised directly by the user through the Application's interface and the operating system. There are no records in our systems that need to be rectified or manually deleted by our support team.
8. Children's Privacy
ARKA is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child has provided personal data through third-party services linked to the app, please contact us so we can investigate.
9. Links to Our Website and Third-Party Platforms
Our Application contains links to our official website (www.arka-app.com), which is operated directly by Tucan Software Studio. Interactions within our official website are governed by the privacy policies published on that page (which may include the use of analytical cookies or contact forms for support). However, the Application or our website may include links to external platforms and social networks (such as Instagram, X, or YouTube). Once you use these links to leave our direct ecosystem, you should be aware that we have no control over those third-party platforms. Therefore, we are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you share on those sites, and such platforms are not governed by this Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this document. For material changes, we will also display a notice within the Application the next time you open it. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Application after any changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
